PERA is the perfect opportunity for your business to receive the recognition and exposure it deserves.

This year, PERA offers more categories to enter; more rewards – first, second and third place category winners; category winners will receive up to R100,000; and overall grand prize includes an international business trip.

This year, PERA has 12 categories:

  2. Best Job-creating Business
  3. Best Established Business
  4. Best Emerging Regional Business
  5. Best Social Enterprises
  6. Best Emerging Tourism Business
  7. Best Green Business
  8. Best Emerging Agri-Processing Business
  9. Best Innovative Student Business Idea
  10. Best School Business Idea
  11. Most Innovative Business
  12. Business with Global Reach

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: growth, jobs, innovation, creativity, sustainability, industry relevance and socio-economic impact.

“There is simply no reason for you not to enter your business. Last year's winner, Jeanne Groenewald of Elgin Free Range Chickens, recently returned from her overseas trip where she was exposed to opportunities to grow her business internationally,” PERA saids.

The Western Cape Premier’s Entrepreneurship Recognition Awards (PERA) 2015 is the third edition of an annual competition that recognizes the achievements and potential of some of the Province’s most exciting entrepreneurs.

By acknowledging and showcasing successful entrepreneurs, this Awards programme is helping to build a culture of entrepreneurship in the Western Cape – and in turn, support the creation of jobs and opportunities by small and medium business.
