Marechal Electric recently undertook laboratory testing in France to benchmark traditional industrial socket-outlets against Marechal’s patented butt contact technology in terms of energy efficiency.
The tests were performed on brand new 32A socket-outlets (1st year of life) as well as 32A socket-outlets (1 year +) showing signs of contact oxidation.
Test results were catagorised according to:
- Contact Resistance
- Thermal Dissipation
- Thermal Loss
Measurements taken at maximum consumption of 32A constant.
The results show that Marechal Electric offers up to 5.7 times less resistance on oxidized contacts than a standard pin and sleeve product.
