Barclays Africa Group Limited is pleased to announce that Jason Quinn has been appointed as Group Financial Director of Barclays Africa Group Limited (BAGL) and Financial Director of Absa Bank, with effect from 1 September 2016.
David Hodnett, who has served as Group Financial Director from March 2010, will now focus on his role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, responsible for the South African banking operations of Barclays Africa Group, and as an Executive Director of both the Group and Absa Bank. Both Jason and David will be executive directors of BAGL and Absa Bank.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa and is a registered Chartered Accountant. He was appointed as the Head of Finance at Barclays Africa Group and Absa Bank in June 2014, after holding several senior positions in Finance since joining the Group in July 2008. Prior to that, he was a partner at Ernst and Young Inc.
