Sanlam Employee Benefits (SEB) has been named Employee Benefits Supplier of the Year for the third time in the annual Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA) Awards.
Hailed as one of the most prestigious accolades in South African financial services, the awards poll financial intermediaries independently to uncover excellence among product suppliers.
Dawie de Villiers, CEO of SEB, says the award is a great honour and a true indictment of the success of SEB’s business strategy. “The intermediary lies at the heart of our business in many ways. Every product we develop or service we introduce is sense checked against the needs of the intermediary. Winning this award shows that we are doing something right - that our products, support and services meet the needs of this extremely important group. And that we are making it easy for intermediaries to engage with their clients about SEB. We are beyond thrilled with this result.”
Survey participants are asked to rate providers on their product quality, service quality, relationship quality and overall satisfaction. Product providers are then assessed and ranked under each of these categories before a final score is computed.
The awards afford product providers valuable feedback with regards to how their distribution and administration services are received by the financial and risk adviser community at large. The awards evening, held in Johannesburg on 12 June, was attended by more than 1 000 risk and financial advisers as well as representatives from the “who’s who” of South Africa’s insurance, investment and healthcare product providers.
De Villiers says that the awards will inspire SEB to further improve its offering and the quality of its client service. “It is truly gratifying to have our efforts rewarded and this definitely drives us to continue to grow and improve.”
