Sanlam Private Equity (SPE) has acquired a 60% interest in the dried fruits and nuts processing business, JAB Dried Fruit Products (Pty) Ltd. JAB Dried Fruit Products was founded by the Barnard family in 1979 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga and has since grown into a significant processor and marketer of dried fruits and nuts both locally and abroad (website:
