Multi-million rand skills development programme for 91 residents from Blikkiesdorp

Today the City of Cape Town, Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) and the False Bay Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College were delighted to launch a multi-million rand skills development programme for 91 residents from Blikkiesdorp who will receive construction industry training at False Bay TVET College in Westlake.

Cape Town Airport Aerotropolis to create thousands of jobs

In a presentation to the Standing Committee on Economic Opportunities, Tourism and Agriculture in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament, it was revealed that thousands of new jobs can be created in the development of an Aerotropolis surrounding Cape Town International Airport. 3,000 jobs stand to be created by just one regular scheduled long-haul service.
