ACDC Dynamics offer a wide range of electronic products, from small domestic installations to big Power Factor Correction Systems, where they look at holistic installations from grassroots right the way through to electrical accessories and any components you would need in a Distribution Board.
The ACDC Dynamics prides itself on the quality of its product range, which is wide, offering globally recognised brands. It imports around 80% of its products with the rest locally manufactured from Rhomberg in the Cape.
The company recently signed an agreement with Gave, increasing its low voltage offerings. “This is a top quality product recognised around the world,” says Sara Ross, Marketing Manager for ACDC Dynamics. Gave are well-known for its strong R&D focus, giving it a competitive advantage globally, which ACDC Dynamic are proud to supply to the South African market.
On trends, Ross says she is excited about solar and emergent energy. With many distribution and retail companies choosing to go off the grid, companies such as Pick n Pay and Spar are increasingly looking towards Photovoltaic (PV) solar solutions to supply power to the big distribution hubs around the country. ACDC Dynamics has identified this as a growth area, and has created a group within its stable call ‘ACDC Green’ that focuses entirely on these installation projects.
ACDC Green audit a company and work with the client from inception, to plan the project, looking both at power generation and savings in the company to optimise the effectiveness of the solar solution.
ACDC advises customers to look at the ROI involved before installing substandard products in an attempt to keep prices down. Most often the cost of maintenance on these products outstrips the initial outlay for quality products.
“Do the right thing,” says Ross. “Don’t lower your standards purely for price … Do your homework, go in-depth, don’t just settle for the first thing you see.”
