A. Holman Trading Co (Pty) Ltd

The company was originally formed in 1952 by the late Mr Buddy Holman to manufacture and supply pipe fittings for the petroleum industry under the name Holman pipe fittings company.

Buttweld fittings then replaced fabricated fittings for which we became the first importers and stockists of this product in South Africa.

Being very petrochemical orientated in the early years a pipeline construction division was formed. Noteworthy contracts were the branch lines for the Johannesburg – Durban pipeline; a revamp of the Walvis Bay depot for the Caltex and the same for the mobile at Alexander Bay.

In 1969 the company changed its name under which we trade today.

Over the years we have grown substantially and are now stockists of an even wider range of products. These products include conveyance pipe conforming to SABS 62 & BS 1387, structural tube manufactured to SABS 657, mild steel and grade 300WA plates, sheets and sections (including angle iron, flat bar, channel iron, round bars and square bars), expanded metals, galvanised and uncoated grating.

We supply a full range of products into the agricultural industry including SABS 62 medium galvanized pipe (6m and 3m exacts), female screwed brass ball valves and gate valves, malleable fittings conforming to IS) 9002 specifications, wrought steel fittings, stand pipes, flanges etc.
