A brand new R25 dinosaur coin will be released in South Africa

A brand new R25 dinosaur coin will be making its way to South Africa in 2020.

Finance minister Tito Mboweni finalised the designs for the 2020 silver Kruger Rand and the R25 Natura Series collectable coin due next year.

A Coelophysis rhodesiensis, a two-legged carnivore that grew to a relatively diminutive three-metres tall, will be seen on the R25 coin.

The new coin will be released from 1 January 2020 – and there will be 50,000 limited coins available.
