Lion’s Head closed until further notice

South African National Parks (SANParks) announced today [June 6], that Lion’s Head will be closed until further notice.

This decision, made by the Table Mountain National Park management, is effective immediately. According to the statement, it is only the Lion’s Head section of Table Mountain which will be closed. They explained that this decision was made due to the fact that people have not followed rules in relation to Level 3 of the lockdown.

“Due to the nature of the trail, recreational activities are no longer permitted in these areas due to none compliance by users in accordance to the Alert Level 3 regulations of the Nationwide Lockdown,” SANParks said.
