Cape Town voted best city in the world… again

For the fifth consecutive year, British tourists have voted Cape Town as the best city in the world. As if Johannesburg didn’t have enough problems already… now they have Capetonians being more smug than usual.

Earl Grey needs to make way for Five Roses on the palette. The 90 000-strong poll determined the victor of the 2017 Telegraph Travel Awards with classic reference to its status as a “coastal gem in the shadow of an iconic mountain”.
