Facilities Management Expo 2024, which will take place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, from 28 to 30 May 2024, has received a boost that will greatly benefit the facilities management sector. In late January 2024, Facilities Management Expo organisers — Specialised Exhibitions (division of Montgomery Group) — signed a memorandum of understanding with the South African Facilities Management Association (SAFMA), which will see both organisations working together on marketing efforts and supporting each other’s events.
Facilities Management Expo is now in its fourth year of creating an interactive platform for providers of facilities management products and services to assist the market with solutions for all aspects of facilities management. The expo is co-located with Securex South Africa, A-OSH EXPO, and Firexpo, enhancing the customer engagement potential for exhibitors, and allowing visitors to source multiple security, safety, FM, and fire safety solutions all under one roof.
“We are excited about the potential this relationship opens up for both exhibitors and visitors of Facilities Management Expo. SAFMA is a self-sustaining body recognised both locally and internationally for its meaningful role in the SA facilities management sector. The collaboration will help to elevate the FM industry and provide all stakeholders with increased value-added benefits,” says Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions.
Anderson says that in addition to FM solutions by leading suppliers, visitors benefit from the sessions shared in the Facilities Management Seminar Theatre. “The 2023 event hosted 20 seminar sessions, and the Broll Vantage Awards. Knowledgeable industry speakers present many of the industry challenges and their solutions, and help to create a forum for further discussion.”
