South Africa’s Minister of Electricity and Energy – Officially Endorses Africa Energy Indaba 2026

Cape Town, South Africa – 21 October 2025 – The Honourable Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Minister of Electricity and Energy of South Africa, has officially endorsed the Africa Energy Indaba 2026, reaffirming the event’s critical role in shaping Africa’s sustainable energy future. The Indaba will take place from 3–5 March 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and is recognized as the continent’s premier platform for dialogue, investment, and collaboration across the energy sector.

Minister Ramokgopa’s endorsement highlights the South African government’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that drive energy security, industrial growth, and a just energy transition. Speaking on the importance of platforms such as the Africa Energy Indaba, the Minister emphasized the need for Africa to chart its own energy future—one that balances development, sustainability, and inclusivity—while enabling tangible, actionable solutions to the continent’s energy challenges.

The Africa Energy Indaba 2026 will convene ministers, policymakers, investors, and industry leaders to explore innovative solutions, share insights, and forge partnerships that accelerate Africa’s energy transition. The event will address critical issues including energy access, renewable integration, infrastructure development, and financing mechanisms, providing a platform for collaboration between governments, development finance institutions, and private sector stakeholders.
