RocoMamas unveils new restaurant on Long Street, Cape Town

Get ready, Cape Town! RocoMamas, the iconic smash burger brand famed for its bold flavours and vibrant urban spirit, has just launched its latest restaurant on Long Street! Having opened on the 7th of August, this halaal store opening was perfectly timed to coincide with the city’s celebrated First Thursdays, a night dedicated to the celebration of creativity in the city.

“At RocoMamas, we’re all about more than just serving delicious food; we’re committed to crafting an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone,” shared Vuyo Henda, Chief Marketing Officer at Spur Corp. “We pride ourselves on individuality, which shines through in our ‘Make Your Own Smash Burger’ concept. We’re thrilled to bring this unique experience to Long Street and cater to our customers.”

The vibrant new restaurant boasts an eye-catching design, blending contemporary aesthetics with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Franchisee Riyaadh Petersen shared, “We are incredibly excited to introduce the RocoMamas vibe to our customers! Our team has poured their hearts into this project, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to savour our mouthwatering offerings in a fun and lively atmosphere.”

The launch event was a spectacular affair, buzzing with excitement and packed with fantastic highlights. Guests enjoyed an exclusive pre-launch tasting session with local content creators and media personalities, while energetic live DJ sets kept the atmosphere electric and encouraged the public to join in the fun. Refreshing Red Bull mocktails were served, and engaging interactive experiences added to the buzz, including the crowd-favourite “Make Your Own Smash Burger” contest in collaboration with Red Bull.
