LED retrofit lighting solution for Ga-Segonyana Municipality

BEKA Schréder has supplied the LED retrofit lighting solution for street- and highmast lighting for Ga-Segonyana Municipality in the Northern Cape Province.

The OMNISTAR-ECO offers a real alternative to luminaires equipped with traditional light sources.

Highmast Lighting

The existing HID 400W HPS highmast lighting was replaced with the newly launched OMNISTAR-ECO floodlight. The OMNISTAR-ECO is an addition to the OMNISTAR family and has been designed to provide an energy-saving, performing and flexible floodlight for lighting areas where a quality replacement from conventional light sources is needed. This luminaire can be installed in various applications due to its wide range of optical light distributions to meet the specifications of the area to be lit.

The OMNISTAR-ECO floodlight can be installed in various applications due to its wide range of optical light distributions to meet the specifications of the area to be lit.

The OMNISTAR-ECO guarantees optimal lighting to ensure safety and comfort. It offers a real alternative to luminaires equipped with traditional light sources, with the added advantages of an LED solution: improved colour rendering index, low energy consumption and low maintenance costs with a short payback time.

Streetlighting

The ZIYA-1 and LEDLUME XP 2 were used to replace the existing HID 70W HPS, 125W MV & 250W HPS streetlight installation. The ZIYA range offers a superior lumen/watt ratio to deliver a high-performing, energy-efficient lighting solution at an affordable price for various landscapes, including pedestrian zones, streets, roads and car parks. The ZIYA range comprises of the ZIYA-1 and ZIYA-2 with aluminium housing, and the ZIYA-E with calcium-filled Polypropylene housing. Built to withstand high ambient temperatures and vandalism (IK 10) and with a high Ingress Protection level (IP 65), the ZIYA range provides a sustainable performance over time. The ZIYA range is the ideal tool to shorten the payback time of an LED lighting installation and to provide the best return on investment.

The LEDLUME XP offers optimised photometrical performance with a minimum total cost of ownership. It provides customers with the ideal tool to generate energy savings, improve lighting levels and reduce maintenance costs. The great variety of high-performance optics optimises the photometric distribution for each specific application to achieve minimum energy consumption. The LEDLUME XP offers flexible combinations of LED modules, a choice of currents and dimming options to further maximise energy savings and provide the most cost-effective solution.

BEKA Schréder develops and manufactures energy-efficient LED lighting products in South Africa, designed and suitable for local conditions.

We are very proud to be associated with Ga-Segonyana Municipality and Phepheng Project Management & Construction in providing a successful LED retrofit lighting solution for this project.
