REC-O-QUIP offer CRS range of bulk handling systems

CRS has teamed up with REC-O-QUIP to supply Rotainer® systems to customers on the African continent, used for the efficient bulk handling of coal, zinc, copper, iron ore, aluminium, mineral sands, sugar and grains.

Container Rotation Systems (CRS) introduced Australia’s first 360 degree container rotator, for D.P World at Port Adelaide, Australia. Initially, its primary role was loading parcels of approximately 70 000 tons of DSO iron ore for IMX Resources. Automated Lid Lifting following not long after for copper concentrate applications. Since then, CRS has developed enhanced it systems and built a client base which sees its products operating successfully in 11 counties around the world; from the extreme temperatures of central Africa to arduous conditions found in northern Canada.

CRS is currently the only one stop solution for rotational, containerised bulk handling equipment. In 2020 a new range of equipment was introduced including the Rotainer® Eurospec M.H Range, Ezzelid™, Tiltainer®, and Skiptainer® Load and Dump.

The Rotainer® M.H Container Rotainers are purpose designed for large materials handlers, mobile harbour and ship’s cranes. A new offering is the Ezzelid™ Self Opening Lid System, which provides cost effective, simplified lid opening together with its Skiptainer® Load and Dump system which allows for loading in the ship’s hold as well as for discharge.

The Rotainer MH Range provides fast, simple and ultra-reliable 180 rotation while reducing dust emissions by up to 80%. The Eurospec range utilises the CRS patented Hydraulic Crank System, a simple, operationally & dynamically softer answer that by reducing rotational forces, allows, in some instances less complexed container designs to be used. Used in combination with the new Ezzelid, bothersome lid lifting systems are no longer required, reducing total capital outlay.

CRS introduced the Rotainer R.S (for reach stackers) in 2013, the world’s first 3 in 1 container rotation system. It easily fits all manner of reach stackers, ship’s and mobile harbour cranes and has a WLL of 38 400kg. 180 degree rotation achieved by aspecially designed & patented hydraulic crank system. A small diesel engine with remote control enables this unit to be a ‘quick release’ attachment to add value to any container handling facilities where medium volumes of bulk commodities are handled.

CRS recently developed an underground solution for handling environmentally unfriendly products such as contaminated waste. A newly developed lid locking system ensures a securely contained product whilst still allowing automated lid removal and replacement when being emptied. Other advantages such as the stackable lids and the ‘Lidgripper’ system make this solution suitable for the construction, mining and shipping industries.
