Since 1993, Diesel Electric Services (Pty) Ltd has specialised in the design, manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning and after sales service of power generation equipment.
As a bespoke engineering, procurement and construction partner, our speciality is found in turnkey solutions, focusing on medium voltage infrastructure, back-up power solutions, low voltage distribution and large power reticulation.
Diesel Electric Services is one of the only EPC’s that has a fully type tested design at 50 kA, to IEC / SANS 60439.1 and a partially type tested design at 70 kA, to the same standard. This coupled to the additional test required by IEC / SANS 61439-1/2/3, empowers us to issue a product that is self-certified to comply strictly to IEC / SANS 61439-1/2/3, as detailed in the standard.
With experience in both diesel and gas powered solutions, incorporating static UPSes when needed, our strength is in experience associated with site specific projects.
We are currently working on various projects and have a continuous involvement and presence on site after completion, some of them on a daily basis, with regards to maintenance as well as daily operation of the plants.
We are convinced that the reason why we can offer the level of engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and after sales service that we do, is solely due to the stability of our staff compliment. This fact has enabled us to grow the company by knowledge transfer, incorporating “old” school to the “new” school work ethics.
The confidence and trust placed by our customers in us, is undisputable proof of our competence in this regard, together with our NETFA type tested panel builds and in house MV capability, allows us to repair and replace components during the warranty periods at our discretion without consulting the manufacturer. This speeds up the maintenance process which is of extreme importance for client up time.
