Ramaphosa set to deliver Presidency Budget Vote

President Cyril Ramaphosa will today present the Presidency Budget Vote speech in Parliament at 2pm.

The Presidency is the nerve centre of government, overseeing the programme of action of all national government departments.

During the Budget Vote speech, President Ramaphosa will highlight achievements over the last year and initiatives launched in the period since his State of the Nation Address at the beginning of the year, the Presidency said on Tuesday.

“He will focus on the areas of economic renewal and job creation, the fight against corruption and the re-establishment of public confidence in the integrity of institutions of the state,” said the high office.

President Ramaphosa will also continue to rally all South Africans to do anything they can in their walks of life or circles of influence to support and add impetus to government’s endeavours to build a prosperous and united society.

The President will open the debate with supporting speeches by the Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and the Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Bathabile Dlamini.

Deputy President David Mabuza will not attend the Budget Vote debate due to prior travel commitments.
