Redhat; making open source technologies for the enterprise

Cape Business News recently attended the Africom exhibition which took place at the CTICC from the 7th to the 9th of November. Africom is the continent’s largest telecoms‚ media and technology event.

On the technology side of the exhibition “A-hub” we had the privelege of speaking with redhat.

Who is redhat:

  • The world’s leading provider of open source, enterprise IT solutions

More than two decades ago, Red Hat had a spark of an idea—a vision for developing software differently. They believed that collaboration with an ecosystem of IT leaders, open source advocates, developers, and partners could create a better foundation for the future of IT—Red Hat® Enterprise Linux®.

But that was just the beginning.

Today, redhat delivers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services using the same open, collaborative business model and an affordable, predictable subscription.

redhat mission:

“Our mission is to be the catalyst in communities of customers, contributors, and partners creating better technology the open source way.”
