New Cape Town clothing destination: UNIQ Clothing opens in Kenilworth

UNIQ Clothing by Checkers has expanded its footprint in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs with a new store at Kenilworth Centre, giving shoppers easier access to its timeless designs and premium basics.

This is the clothing brand’s second store in the area, following the opening of UNIQ Clothing at Blue Route Mall, Tokai in 2024. Since launching in 2023, the standalone apparel brand has grown to 11 stores in the Western Cape and more than 25 locations across Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and Northern Cape.

UNIQ Clothing offers quality clothing for the whole family, with a focus on simplicity, comfort, superior fabrics, and value.

The latest Autumn/Winter ‘26 collection showcases a fresh lineup of sophisticated basics designed for effortless movement in breathable, durable fabrics, such a Sorona Aura, Tencel Blend, Modal Blend, and 100% Supima Cotton. UNIQ Clothing was the first local retailer to bring Supima Cotton to the mass market.

This season’s womenswear range features knitwear, stylish jackets and various seasonal must have pants with flattering silhouettes.

In menswear the focus is on jumpers, golfers, jackets and cotton basics, while the kiddie clothing combines playful prints with comfortable designs that allow little ones to move freely.

Shoppers at Kenilworth Centre can enjoy a welcoming store environment with knowledgeable employees and quick self-service checkout, reflecting UNIQ Clothing’s commitment to an elevated and more convenient, shopping experience.

Trading hours are:

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 19:00
  • Saturday to Sunday: 09:00 – 17:00
