Diarise – PIPES XIII – 6 & 7 September 2022

SAPPMA – SA Plastic Pipe Manufacturers Association – will present PIPES XIII in conjunction with the Plastic Pipe Conference Association (PPCA) on 6 & 7 September 2022. PPCA hosts the biggest international pipe conference every second year in either Europe or the USA. Its spin-off conference, which is organised every alternate year, is coming to South Africa this year. The conference programme will include at least 10 of the best papers from PIPES XX which was held in Amsterdam in 2021, in addition to our usual line-up of national and international speakers. The event has been extended to two days to provide for an outstanding offering to our industry.

Call for papers

If you would like to present a paper at this event, please submit your contact details, proposed topic and a short abstract by no later than 4 May 2022.

Presentation: 25 minute presentation; 5 minute Q&A

Content: Strictly non-commercial, relevant to the plastic pipe industry and in accordance with a session theme, as listed below:

Conference Theme: The Versatility of Plastic Pipe

Session Topics:

  • Pipeline Design
  • Installation
  • Standards, Quality, Testing, Certification
  • Extrusion technology
  • Water problems in Southern Africa
  • Infrastructure
  • Raw materials
  • Rehabilitation of old pipelines.

Other topic may be included and should be submitted for consideration.

You will receive notice of acceptance/rejection of your abstract shortly after the deadline. The programme will be published by the end of April
