Mogale City adopts water recycling equipment from Werner Pumps for stormwater maintenance

WERNER Pumps has supplied Mogale City Local Municipality with a new water recycling vacuum truck for stormwater drain maintenance, helping the municipality tackle drainage challenges while reducing water use and operating costs. Unlike a conventional vacuum truck, the unit recycles water during operation, reducing the need for fresh water and allowing crews to work for longer without repeatedly stopping to refill.

With significant challenges across both stormwater and wastewater infrastructure, the municipality is already considering adding another two recycling units to its fleet for wastewater applications.

“For municipalities under pressure to maintain critical infrastructure while managing costs and conserving water, recycling technology offers a practical solution,” says George Jolly, Sales Manager at Werner Pumps. “Importantly, these units are also built locally, with the support and after-sales service that municipalities need to keep them working effectively.”
