It seems the shift into a new season in the Western Cape is bringing with it a bountiful set of spring rains and even more are forecast to make their way to the Mother City from October.
Three more days of rain are expected to hit Cape Town from Monday, October 7 to Wednesday, October 9, 2019.
On Monday locals can expect a high of 18°C and a low of 12°C with afternoon showers leading into the evening.
Tuesday will bring scattered showers with slightly cooler temperatures, including a high of 17°C and a low of 12°C.
Wednesday will end off the rainy trend with a high of 18°C and a low of 12°C. Showers are expected during the day but partly cloudy conditions will take over in the evening.
As of September 27, 2019 dam levels are at an overall storage capacity of 82%.
The Cape’s lowest dam is Theewaterskloof at 72.2% and the highest is Berg River at 99.4%.
Overall water storage is expected to boost significantly following the raining weather on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.
As the rainy weather seems to be sticking during for the spring months, here’s to hoping we continue to experience scattered showers on into the summer season as well.
