A Good Friday, full of showers from above

After a much-needed weekend of rain, Capetonians can look forward to this Friday not just for the public holiday but also a little more rain which is forecast to arrive.

Locals can expect scattered showers ushering in the weekend and cool temperatures, with lows of 14ยฐC and highs of 18ยฐC. The rest of the weekend will be cool and cloudy until Monday, when warmer temperatures are predicted.

Residents have their fingers crossed that the rainy weather of late will increase the Capeโ€™s overall dam levels.

Dam levels as of April 8 are at 49.1%, with the lowest dam, Theewaterskloof, at 38.4%, followed by Steenbras Lower which is at 45.5% of its maximum capacity.

Make sure to plan your long weekend with the rain in mind and keep warm, Cape Town.
