Norwegian energy consultancy Rystad Energy launches office in Cape Town

NORWEGIAN based energy consultancy Rystad Energy is opening a new office in Cape Town, next week.

Rystad Energy is an independent research and energy intelligence company, equipping clients with data, insights and education that power better decision-making.

The group was founded by Jarand Rystad in 2004, employs 700 people and has locations in 31 countries around the world.

Rystad Energy comes into South Africa as the domestic energy market is opening up and seeing a surge in investment.

Aside from the democratisation of the electricity market, as can be seen in the recent creation of a separate transmission company from Eskom, the dynamism of the energy sector can also be seen in offshore fossil fuel exploration.

Rystad Energy said in a statement: “To celebrate this milestone, we’re hosting an exclusive launch event, bringing together key players in the African energy market, including our valued partners and clients and Rystad leadership.”

The keynote will be given by Per Magnus Nysveen, senior partner, Rystad Energy.

The event will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront, Beach Rd, Granger Bay, Cape Town, at 5pm on 4 November.

“This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with industry leaders, exchange insights, and explore the future of energy in Africa. Don’t miss out on this exciting moment and the chance to network with influential stakeholders shaping the region’s energy landscape,” said Rystad Energy.
